On our road trip to the tip of Scotland, Talli and I planned a stop at Dunrobin Castle & Gardens. We had spotted it on the map while planning our journey and were instantly captivated by its rich history and stunning architecture.
The day we arrived, we were a bit disappointed to find that the castle interior was closed to visitors. However, our spirits lifted quickly when we realized the grounds were open for exploration. Stepping into the gardens, we were greeted by the refreshing sea breeze and the invigorating scent of the ocean air.
The gardens were nothing short of breathtaking, with a variety of special plants dotted around, each adding its unique charm to the landscape. As we wandered through the beautifully manicured lawns and intricate flowerbeds, Talli’s excitement was palpable. She couldn’t stop imagining what it would be like to have a wedding in such a picturesque setting, with the castle’s grand facade as a backdrop and the serene ocean views in the distance.
Despite not being able to tour the inside of Dunrobin Castle, our visit was unforgettable. The beauty of the gardens and the fresh coastal air made it a perfect stop on our Scottish adventure.
